Hi Shaper ✌️
Welcome to this week's issue of INFUZED on Structure.
”I have not failed 10,000 times—I've successfully found 10,000 ways that will not work.”
Thomas Edison's famous response, when he was asked how it felt to fail so many times while trying to invent the lightbulb, bears a valuable lesson we often forget:
"Iteration ≠ Repetition"
Yes, consistency is likely the #1 key to success for any venture. To keep showing up.
But just repeating the same things over and over again won't lead to the hoped for breakthrough.
Instead, we need to keep tweaking, keep learning, keep evolving... keep iterating. With every new attempt there is a decision we need to make: repeat or iterate?
Iteration is a better choice than repetition.
Repetition is failing 10,000 times if it doesn't work. Iteration is finding 10,000 times it doesn't work on your way to the breakthrough. |
